Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last updated: October 14, 2026

How to cancel a subscription and when a payment may be refunded.

Important

Search reports are digital services generated on demand. Except where required by law or expressly promised at checkout, fees are generally final once access, credits or report generation has begun.

Key points

  • Cancel before renewal to stop future subscription charges.
  • Cancellation does not normally refund the current billing period.
  • No result, a limited result or disagreement with a result is not evidence that the Service was not delivered.
  • Mandatory consumer and withdrawal rights always remain available where applicable.

1. Canceling a subscription

You may cancel through the account billing controls or by emailing support@darwinfind.com from the email address associated with the purchase. Cancellation takes effect for future renewals. Unless checkout or mandatory law states otherwise, access continues until the end of the paid billing period.

You must cancel before the renewal date shown in your account or purchase confirmation. Deleting an account, deleting an app, closing a browser, not using the Service or removing a payment method does not by itself cancel a subscription.

2. General refund rule for digital services

Except where required by applicable law or expressly stated at checkout, purchases are non-refundable after digital access has been provided, search credits have been made available, a search has started, or a report has been generated or unlocked. This reflects the immediate, customized and non-returnable nature of the Service.

We do not provide prorated refunds or credits for unused time, unused features, partially used periods, account inactivity, forgotten cancellation or a change of mind, except where mandatory law requires otherwise.

3. Search-result limitations are not a service failure

DarwinFind sells access to a search and organization process, not a promise that particular information exists or will be found. Public sources can be incomplete, blocked, changed, removed or unavailable. A report with few or no findings, an uncertain match, an outdated source, a disagreement with a result or the later removal of source content does not by itself entitle you to a refund.

You are responsible for choosing the correct search mode, reviewing entered details and understanding the informational limitations described in the Terms of Service.

4. When we may approve a refund

Subject to applicable law, we may approve a full or partial refund for a verified duplicate charge, an unauthorized transaction reported promptly, or a material technical failure attributable to DarwinFind that prevented purchased access and could not be remedied within a reasonable period. We may also grant refunds at our discretion; a discretionary refund does not create an ongoing obligation or precedent.

5. How to request a refund

Email support@darwinfind.com from the address used for purchase. Include the transaction date, amount, receipt or transaction identifier and a short description of the issue. Do not send full card numbers, security codes or passwords.

We may ask for information reasonably necessary to locate the transaction, verify account ownership, investigate use and prevent fraud. Submitting a request does not guarantee approval. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method where possible.

6. Renewals

Subscriptions renew automatically when disclosed at checkout. A renewal is not unauthorized merely because you forgot to cancel or did not use the Service. Contact us promptly if you believe a renewal was processed after a timely cancellation or without the required disclosure.

7. Payment providers and app stores

If you purchased through a third-party payment provider, marketplace or app store, its cancellation and refund rules may control and you may need to submit the request directly to that provider. Processing times, currency conversion, bank fees and the date a credit appears are controlled by the provider or your financial institution.

8. Abuse, fraud and chargebacks

We may deny a refund where the account violated the Terms, materially consumed the Service, supplied false information, engaged in refund abuse, already received a refund for the same charge, or is involved in suspected fraud. We may suspend access while a payment dispute or chargeback is pending.

Please contact us before initiating a chargeback so we can review and, where appropriate, correct the issue. This does not limit any legal right to dispute an unauthorized or incorrect charge.

9. Mandatory consumer rights

Nothing in this policy limits a statutory refund, cancellation, withdrawal or remedy that cannot legally be waived. Where local law gives you a withdrawal right for digital content, that right may end once performance begins with your prior consent and acknowledgment, to the extent permitted by that law.
